Morning Desert SafariChoosing the BEST Desert Safari in Dubai – Everything You Ought to Know

A desert safari is the only experience that truly embodies the essence of Dubai. It is a hit with everyone and is enjoyable for solo travelers, families, and couples alike. It should without a doubt be on your list of things to do. Do you want to go dune-bashing in a 4x4, try dune-boarding, ride a camel, smoke a hookah pipe, get your hands henna-dipped, and eat Arabic barbecue? If you don't believe me, you should go on a Dubai Desert Safari instead.

To be honest, there are a lot of desert safari tour options in Dubai, and the market is pretty crowded! Attempting to pick the right one is a test as they generally offer pretty much exactly the same thing.

However, keep in mind that not all of them are created equal, and the quality varies significantly!

We have been on numerous desert safaris as Dubai expats, so we can advise you on what to expect and what to look for when selecting a tour operator. We use three different tour operators, one for each budget, and our favorite desert safari experience is one of them.

Below, you'll find the answers to all of your questions about the Dubai desert safari. Including when to go, the minimum age to go, how much to pay, what to wear, and WHO to book your Dubai Desert Safari with for a trip that will always be memorable.

Therefore, you'll want to take in some of the natural views as well as the massive skyscrapers and impressive architecture. Well, don't worry about it because the rolling sand dunes will appear quickly as you drive away from the city. And it's fantastic! The further you drive away from the coastline, the redder the sand dunes become.

It would be an understatement to say that the sand dunes are impressive. They are stunning, and the best way to see them is on a desert safari. You must try it before you leave Dubai, believe me!

The Best Time to Book a Dubai Desert Safari A desert safari can be booked at any time of the year, but the summer months of July and August offer incredible savings. But there's a reason for that. Let's be honest: going to the desert during the heat of the summer is not the most pleasant experience. You can do it, but you'll probably sweat a little. However, we have succeeded, and if this is your only chance, I urge you to take it! The chance might not come back.

What to Wear: Tourists ride camels through the sand dunes on a Dubai Desert Safari Tour. Photo courtesy of Pixabay user Niels Steeman. Dubai is full of tourists of all kinds. Some will cover up, while others will expose more skin than is appropriate. It doesn't really matter what you wear on a desert safari; just make sure you're comfortable. I always like to cover my shoulders out of respect, and if it's hot, you should choose a light, loose-fitting option. Just keep in mind that you'll probably be riding a camel, so you'll need to dress almost like you're going to be there.

On the other hand, from November to February, the desert does experience a cooling trend. Therefore, be prepared and bring a sweater or pashmina to wear later in the evening.

The duration of a desert safari typically extends into the evening. You can anticipate being picked up between 3 and 4 p.m., and you will be returned to your lodging by 10 p.m. after a full afternoon and evening of entertainment.

How Much Does a Dubai Desert Safari Cost? An Emirati man in a kandura sits on the sand dunes of the Dubai desert. The cost varies depending on the company you choose. However, this is an experience that should not be undervalued. The best desert safari is one that falls somewhere in the middle. The desert safari was less memorable than the cheaper ones we have taken part in. Simply put, the desert safaris that fall somewhere between the middle and higher end offer a superior experience.

In addition, due to the ever-expanding list of desert safari operators, quality has significantly improved over time. Finding the right tour has also become overwhelming due to the increase in tours, am I right?!
